About the blog

Claude Ponti is a wonderful author. He published a lot of children albums (more than sixty, here is bibliography by Ecole des Loisirs, in french). His drawings are amazing.  His texts are too. His pictures don't need any translation, his words do. A few albums have been translated in English : six, here is the list on Amazon. Not enough!
It is said that « Claude Ponti is a headache to his translators » (Isabelle Darthy, publisher, here). Sure. But  there is something about his texts : they're beautiful, funny, creative, and translating them adds to the feeling of fun, creation and beauty. Maybe because it helps to read them and focus ? Or because it's a mean to recreate them in a personal way?
Yeah, there's also this feeling of despair because no equivalent can be found. Collective work may be the key. If the book is a meeting of an author and a reader, it also can be a meeting of readers, translator readers. This would make a TRANSLATIONS GENERATOR.
